About our name:
We are not a religious organization, but we do recognize the potential in every individual's spiritual practice. We are also committed to fun and connection as we move through a complex and hurting world, and believe that joy is radical, spiritual, and transformative.
Why Hunky
Because all humans are uniquely beautiful, and the world benefits from our expressing that beauty. The more confidence we gain in expressing ourselves, the more healing and transformation we experience. “Hunks” are gender neutral in our context.
Why Monk
Because all humans carry profound wisdom that can be miscategorized as "common sense". This inner knowing is uniquely shaped by our lived experience and has lessons that can greatly benefit others. Paying homage to the "monk chats" of some Buddhist cultures, we seek to share wisdom and make meaning together as lifelong teachers and students.
Why Ministries
Because all humans are on a transformative journey of healing, but we are not on this earth alone. We have no interest in pushing any ideology, spiritual or otherwise, as your path is yours alone to chart. But we do believe that you have unique gifts to share, and as you share your healing journey and testimony with those around you, the world will benefit!
Meet CQ:
our Chief Experience Officer
I'm Carnelius Quinn (CQ), a changemaker, facilitator, coach and empath. My personal mission is to help individuals navigate the complexities of connectedness, and Hunky Monk Ministries is my attempt to model using my unique gifts to create the life and world I want to experience.
By training, I am an actor, sociologist, social-organizational psychologist, and Certified Professional Coach. I've worked with leaders and teams across the globe for decades ranging from nonprofits to Fortune 100 companies, training young people and adults alike to tap into their intuition and abilities to more confidently and compassionately lead their peers, teams, clients and communities.
While I am proud of the work I've done across industries and communities, I am excited to chart my own path with Hunky Monk Ministries, and I hope you'll be a part of that. Let's connect!
