What is Hunky Monk Ministries?
We are not a religious organization, but we do recognize the potential in every individual's spiritual path or practice. We are also committed to fun and connection as we move through a complex and hurting world, and believe that joy is personal, radical, spiritual, and transformative.
Why Hunky: Because all humans are uniquely beautiful, and the world benefits from our expressing that beauty. “Hunks” are gender neutral in our context.
Why Monk: Because we are all lifelong teachers and students, and maintaining a learning mindset is key to success.
Why Ministries: Because we all have gifts and legacies to share, and the world benefits when we spread our unique gospel!
Meet CQ: Our Chief Experience Officer

CQ is a leadership coach and facilitator who helps people reconnect with what they actually want—and move toward it with clarity and intention.
He brings a grounded, intuitive approach to his work and is known for noticing what others miss, asking the question beneath the question, and creating spaces where real shifts can happen. After 20 years working in systems that shape people, he now focuses on helping people shape their systems.
He learned how to read a room early in life as a survival skill—sensing what was being said, what wasn’t, and what was actually true underneath it all. What started as a way to navigate difficult environments became a superpower he now brings into every coaching and facilitation space. He has a particular gift for helping people distinguish between what they’ve been taught to want and what is actually true for them.
CQ has spent the past two decades clarifying complexity across both global corporate organizations and community-based public health and nonprofit settings. In corporate spaces, he has led culture, communication, and change efforts at scale, including at Deloitte, where he helped shape how thousands of people work and lead. In public health and nonprofit settings, his work focused on designing and delivering programs that support behavior change, leadership development, and community impact—particularly for vulnerable communities and the systems that serve them.

CQ holds a Master’s degree in Social-Organizational Psychology (with a focus in change management) from Columbia University and is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). He is also certified in Hogan Leadership Assessments and Deloitte’s 360 leadership coaching framework. Alongside this, his background in theatre and sociology deepens both his understanding of human behavior and his ability to create engaging, dynamic spaces—skills that now define his facilitation style.
Through Hunky Monk Ministries, CQ brings these worlds together. His approach blends structured coaching with the principles of Energy Leadership—supporting clients in seeing their patterns, shifting their perspective, and choosing how they want to show up next.
CQ’s personal mission is to help individuals and communities navigate the complexities of connectedness. In his work, success isn’t something to chase—it’s something to redefine. Whether through one-on-one coaching or group experiences, CQ helps clients hear themselves more clearly, trust what they find, and take action that actually reflects who they are.
